The most successful people in the world are not those who like to work 9-5 jobs, five days a week. They are not the kinds of people that are content with where they are at. They are not sleeping eight hours a day and are not jumping on any opportunity they can get to avoid work. In fact, the most successful people in the world are never happy with staying where they are, and strive to be better every single day. This is the Businessman's Mentality, and only by adopting this mindset can one be truly financially independent.
So, you want to be more successful, but you do not know how to take the next step. After all, everyone wants to be financially free and to have success, but most people are unsure of the next move or are unwilling to make a change. It all starts with the small things: waking up early every morning, completing simple daily chores, and (sadly) not partying as much. If you cannot do these fairly simple tasks, there is no way that you can transition to financial success. These changes represent a mentality switch, from someone that is relaxed and happy with letting life go by to someone who takes control over his or her own life and wants to be better. When this switch is made and smaller things are taken care of, bigger changes will start to happen.
The first change will happen with your job. When you wake up early every morning, you have much more productive time to get stuff done. If your job does not start until 9 and you are up at 6:30, you will begin to realize how much more you can actually do. With this realization, you will understand that you have been holding yourself back with your life habits, and can accomplish so much more. You will be pushed to dive into new approaches, ventures, and investments. You will start being proactive about life, and will be more excited to actually be successful. This is the first step that one must take.
After this initial change, everything will fall into place and you will be one step closer to freedom. Risks will need to be taken, mistakes will be made, but what will separate the strong from the weak is the ability to keep pushing. Every single person that is trying to make it big will fall, but only the strong will get up. This is the second change that you need to be willing to make. With this, absolutely nothing can stop you. No one can be perfect, but if you can really try to be hardworking, dedicated, and resilient, it is only a matter of time before things start paying off.
In conclusion, most of the battle is mental, and it all starts small. You won't be a millionaire overnight, but doing all the above things will prepare you to achieve any financial goals.
